The PCC chilled water plant expansion project scope included mechanical engineering design services to support the central plant and piping expansion for the Pasadena City College. We reviewed as built and mechanical drawings for the site to evaluate piping layout, attended design meetings and prepared engineering design.
The design scope included the upgrade of boilers, conversion to heating hot water boilers, two-way control valve selections and piping distribution for new chilled water coils and provided new gas piping design to new AAON units. We prepared mechanical plans to indicate piping routing, anchors and expansion loops in preparation for submission to the City of Pasadena for approval. In addition, we assisted with field (red-lined) mark-ups throughout construction
